Our Story

Hairavanti has been part of Keighley since 1979, when my dad and uncle took over a small barbershop and brought with them the warmth and hospitality of their Italian roots. From day one, it’s been about good craftsmanship, looking after people properly and creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

I grew up around the salon and took over Hairavanti in 2018, continuing the family tradition while allowing the business to grow and evolve. Today, Hairavanti brings together hairdressing, barbering, beauty and retail, all under one roof, with a strong focus on care, consultation and long-term results.

Alongside my hairdressing training, I also spent time working in retail and the jewellery industry, including several years on cruise ships. That experience shaped how I think about service, detail and the overall experience — not just the treatment itself — and it’s something I still bring into the salon every day.

You’ll now find us at 68 North Street, Keighley, where we’ve been based since October 2024. While the surroundings may have changed over the years, our values haven’t — a warm Italian welcome, thoughtful service and a genuine love for what we do.

We’re also passionate about supporting the next generation of hairstylists, creating a positive environment where people can learn, grow and feel proud of their craft. And through Hair About the House, our retail space, we’re able to share the products and brands we truly believe in.
